Do LaB Announces Lineup for Lightning in a Bottle 2023 – 20 year anniversary!
Returning for their 20th installment, the curators at Lightning in a Bottle are bringing an incredible lineup to the Buena Vista Lake in Southern California this May 24-29, 2023. LIB is unique in its wide array of top-tier artists, immersive art experiences and educational workshops that make this festival a one of a kind way to spend Memorial Day Weekend! What better way to celebrate the 20 year anniversary?
The theme of interconnected creativity is seen throughout the festival, especially in the handprints created by each member of the curator community. The lovely souls that put all this magic together are always working through obstacles and pushing the envelope of what is possible at events of this scale. For me, when I attended LIB last, the sheer amount of things to do is what captivated me the most. There was never a dull moment, never a moment where I didn’t have something I wanted to do, and never a lonely moment because everywhere I turned there was a beautiful face that seemed grateful that we were all there together, and this year is gearing up to be better than ever before!
A Jaw Dropping Lineup!
This year’s lineup in the largest and most jaw-dropping one the event has ever hosted. The iconic Lightning stage (with a brand new design!) is bringing some banging’ sets including the incredible REZZ, duo SOFI TUKKER, and electronic producer ZHU. You can also catch shows by Phantogram, Canadian composer Caribou, one of my personal favorites Beats Antique and so many more! Over at the revamped Thunder stage, the electronic music takes on some darker shades with sets from artists like Liquid Stranger, LSDream, and Deathpact. Also check out The Glitch Mob, TOKiMONSTA, and 90’s rave revival production duo Prospa at the Thunder stage along with The Floozies and The Polish Ambassador!
The Woogie stage is LIB’s colorful house and techno wonderland, and is packed with some more incredible talent kicking off on Thursday afternoon. Be sure to check out sets from Tale Of Us, bass legend Diplo, German producer Purple Disco Machine, UK talent Logic1000 and so many more on the totally redesigned stage! Also peep at the return of some long loved talents like the psychedelic Random Rab, bass sensation El Papachango and the live duo Dimond Saints along with many other artists throughout the festival!
A Truly Magical and Immersive Experience!
It wouldn’t be a festival without some Yoga, and the folks at LIB know how to do it right! On both Wednesday and Thursday attendees can find interactive yoga and movement classes, along with workshops and discussions at the Compass and Learning Kitchen on Thursday. In line with the fun, there will also be an 80s Prom night making its festival return. Another special treat is a special Lightcode performance by LSDream, which is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you won’t want to miss. Also new this year is the Grand Artique stage, which echoes the vibes of the wild west, with its unconventional activities and eclectic live acts.
LIB has had a commitment from the beginning to bring together forward-thinking music across many creative and unique stages, inspirational, educational and important discussions and activities as well as intriguing programing scattered throughout the grounds, around every corner. There is quite literally something for everyone, and something to fit any mood you are in at any time during the festival including a Roller Rink, Karaoke, The Mixtape room and so much more!
For those looking for the entire immersive experience, there are camping options, top of the line amenities and food and beverage refreshments in convenient locations. If you need a more elevated experience, the VIP options are better than ever, including backstage lounges, exclusive bars and access to elevated stages!
