Bok Nero & 24hrs- Tuxedo

Showing off a more sultry side to their craft, Bok Nero and 24hrs combine forces for “Tuxedo,” out now on Dim Mak. Dubbed one of his favorite projects to date, Bok Nero continues to push boundaries with “Tuxedo.”

Bok Nero is truly paving his own path as his artist project grows, which is no small feat as there are no comparable acts for him to look up to. A student of life who is flourishing in unimaginable ways as someone from the projects in Philadelphia, Bok’s success in music making, live shows, collaborations and travel is all self-made and developing in real time. Where Bok comes from, the idea of traveling is unattainable and even scary. Growing up, he remembers only knowing of a four block radius in his neighborhood, so on his first European tour, his “WORLWIDE NERO” and “FUCK FEAR, TRAVEL MORE” phrases started to brew in him.

daine- Stay Close

daine unveils their newest sonic hybrid, ‘Stay Close’. LISTEN + WATCH HERE.

After igniting imaginations with a wildly varied output across their still burgeoning career, daine’s reputation as one of the most chameleonic artists of their generation has been cemented. Running from the glitch-laden, Dylan Brady of 100 gecs produced hyper pop of ‘boys wanna txt’, to the metal-infused electronica of ‘Salt’ ft. Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes, to August’s tongue-in-cheek dayglo pop of ‘boythots’, daine’s dynamic output has typified their output as the soundtrack to a generation equipped with postmodern, ever-expanding tastes.

Felmax- “G-Shit” Flip

“So my point with these KAIOKEN flips is to really just do a fun take on something I already want to play, and are basically geared to play live and it’s been such a blast making them for live shows! But, people kept asking for them so I decided to release them and the support has been astounding! For this one I wanted to do a flip to one of my favorite Excision songs, ‘G Shit’ i mean how could you not? I took the original song and gave it a new pre-drop and a whole new drop, I got a chance to play it during the end of the last tour and the reception was great, I can’t wait to put this one out!”

Ghost Light- The Healing

Ghost Light is thrilled to share their sophomore studio album The Healing via Royal Potato Family. The new album sees the group at the top of their musical game. The record was co-produced by Hamilton and the band recorded everything live and without multiple takes. “Recording this album was not an easy, straight forward process,” says Mullen. “It was a lesson in patience to figure out the right feel of a song, which can always change take to take. Which parts needed to breathe more and which needed to push with urgency. Making an album this way helped us understand the true inner workings of each song and how we can carry that to a live performance. If someone was pushing or pulling the song then the whole band needed to really be listening to react to that. I think it made us all better musicians in the long run to record the songs like this. Accepting that an entire take may not be perfect but the essence of the song with everyone felt just right was important.

S.C.A.B.- S.C.A.B.

Originally a working title representing the first letters of the band members’ names (Sean, Cory, Alec, Brandon), S.C.A.B. is an acronym with a shifting meaning – its phonetic double acting as a metaphor for protection and healing for a group that’s always been there for one another.

Following the release of the band’s debut album, 2019’s Beauty & Balance, COVID-19 put the brakes on the Brooklyn-based band’s burgeoning career. Not content with sitting still, the band decided to travel down to Georgia to record their sophomore, self-titled LP (S.C.A.B.), which they engineered and produced themselves. (side note: Brandon, the letter “B” in S.C.A.B., does play on this record, but has since left the group to focus on solo work under the name Hayfitz.) Having distance from their beloved city during this unprecedented, tragic time helped them hone a sound that is even more distinctly New York.

Suki Waterhouse- Nostalgia

Multitalented British vocalist and songwriter Suki Waterhouse unveils the video for “Nostalgia” today, directed by Émilie Richard-Froozan and filmed in Ireland.

“I’m so happy to share the ‘Nostalgia’ video directed by Émilie Richard-Froozan,”  Waterhouse says. “It’s the fifth video we’ve collaborated on together. We spoke a lot about how nostalgia is a place you go, a destination. That living there is a choice one makes unapologetically. To live in nostalgia is to dig your own grave, and that’s exactly what I did. The silver lining is that only you can dig yourself out again.”

SoCal-based producer sumthin sumthin returns to Bassrush Records with his third single in the span of less than a year. The track follows his previous singles “Inhale” and “Speak” released during summer on the label. He’s currently on a North American tour with stops scheduled at Soundwell (SLC), The Black Box (Denver), High Dive (Seattle), and providing support for Kaivon at The Regency (SanFran), Skyway Theater (Minneapolis), The Novo (Los Angeles).
