Artist Biography

Midnight Generation is the Mexican electronic‑funk and disco‑pop collective from Chihuahua whose meticulously crafted fusion of vintage synth textures, groovy basslines, and dancefloor‑ready production has propelled them from regional stages to international festival fields. Formed in 2015 and led by multi‑instrumentalist Fernando Mares alongside Luis Carlos “Bica” Valderrama, Carlos Amaya, Samuel Márquez, and additional percussionist Diego Bustillos, the band blends retro French‑touch house, classic disco, funk, and modern electronic elements into a sound that nods to Chic, Prince, ELO, and classic studio groove yet is engineered for contemporary club and festival impact. Their 2025 album Tender Love — a technically ambitious suite of eleven tracks featuring synth‑driven rhythms, talk box hooks, and layered vocal production — exemplifies their ability to marry analog warmth with precise modern sequencing, while hits like “Don’t Wait Up” and “Energy” showcase tight rhythmic architecture and hook‑driven arrangements that translate seamlessly to both intimate club settings and colossal open‑air stages. With a growing global fanbase, headline tours across Europe and North America, and slots on major festival bills, Midnight Generation’s work stands at the intersection of nostalgic dance music and forward‑thinking electronic craft.
