Artist Biography
A Hundred Drums is the Denver‑based electronic producer and bass visionary Gabrielle Watson, whose meticulously engineered fusion of dubstep, psychedelic bass, drum & bass, and organic percussion channels both primal rhythm and modern sound design into immersive, heartbeat‑driven compositions. Born from Watson’s lifelong command of rhythm and multi‑instrumental training — especially her mastery of hand drums that seed much of her sonic architecture — the project blends thunderous low end with entrancing rhythmic textures to craft music that reverberates physically as much as emotionally on massive festival systems and intimate club spaces alike. Since her earliest underground sets in basements and psytrance gatherings, Watson has expanded her palette to include politically charged work like the Enough Is Enough EP on Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats label, where layered bass and metallic wobbles intersect with message‑driven intensity; along the way she’s supported artists like REZZ on tour and refined a technical live practice that marries improvisational flow with calibrated sound engineering, making A Hundred Drums a compelling presence in contemporary bass culture.
