Artist Biography
Holly Humberstone is the English singer‑songwriter and multi‑instrumentalist from Grantham whose deeply crafted fusion of atmospheric indie pop, synth‑infused alternative rock, and confessional lyricism has elevated her into one of the most technically nuanced voices in contemporary British music. Beginning her musical journey writing songs and playing violin and guitar in her youth, she stepped into the spotlight with singles like Deep End and Falling Asleep at the Wheel before signing with Polydor and Interscope and releasing the acclaimed EP The Walls Are Way Too Thin, which showcased her ability to marry introspective storytelling with layered synth textures and dynamic song structures. Her 2023 debut studio album Paint My Bedroom Black expanded her sonic palette with meticulous production — balancing spacious atmospherics, inventive arrangements, and emotionally resonant vocal performances — and earned her the Brit Award for Rising Star, major touring slots, and international recognition as an artist who blends emotional transparency with a keen technical command of modern pop and indie soundscapes.
