Artist Biography
Zack Fox is the Atlanta-born multi-hyphenate entertainer whose unconventional journey from viral internet comic to boundary-blurring musical force mirrors the chaotic creativity of the digital age itself. Raised with a sharp wit and an instinct for storytelling, Fox first built an online following under the alias Bootymath through incisive humor, before expanding into music as part of the Awful Records collective, blending comedic wordplay with sharp rap cadence — a synthesis that exploded into wider attention with the viral hit “Jesus Is the One (I Got Depression)” alongside producer Kenny Beats in 2019, a track that topped the Spotify U.S. Viral Chart and showcased his ability to fuse humor with infectious rhythmic sensibility. Beyond rap, his debut full-length Shut the Fuck Up Talking to Me (2021) juxtaposed playful lyricism with experimental beats and notable collaborators, while his live sets and DJ performances channel Detroit-influenced club rhythms, ghetto tech, and footwork into kinetic performances that resist genre constraint. Whether he’s freestyling through satire or commanding a crowd with energetic, unpredictable cadence, Fox’s work embodies a technical fluidity that expands beyond conventional hip-hop into performance, comedy, and DJ culture with irreverent charm and incisive cultural intelligence.
