Artist Biography

Bob Moses is the electronic pop duo Jimmy Vallance and Tom Howie. The pair were high school friends in Vancouver that shared a love for pop-punk bands such as Rancid and Green Day. Both of them moved to Brooklyn to pursue music separately, with Jimmy serving up techno and Tom mastering his singer/songwriter skills. The pair teamed up when they both hit a musical rut and created a new sound dubbed post-club. They called themselves Bob Moses after the urban planner who designed New York City and got signed to Scissor & Thread in 2012. Three years later Bob Moses released their debut album Days Gone By. The single “Tearing Me Up” got two Grammy nominations and a win for Best Remixed Recording (Non-Classical) with RAC. After more successful releases including a collaboration with ZHU and a live album that was recorded atop an abandoned radio tower in Topanga, the duo continues to soar with Bonnaroo in their sights.
