An Evening with CAKE
Atlanta festival producer Rival Entertainment is presenting an Evening with CAKE September 28 at the Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark. Self-described as Hank Williams Sr. and Sly Stone having a party and playing AC/DC records backward, CAKE is better known as the antithesis of grunge behind the half-singing/half-speaking lyrics of lead John McCrea, trumpeter Vince DiFiore, guitarist San McCurdy, bassist Daniel McCallum, and drummer Todd Roper. Hits such as “Rock’ n’ Roll Lifestyle,” “The Distance,” the Gloria Gaynor disco classic “I Will Survive,” “Short Skirt/Long Jacket,” and others have fueled the platinum-selling rock outfit past the grunge era to a new wave of fans.

Callie Reiff – My Room
Accomplished producer and DJ Callie Reiff has released the official music video for her single “My Room,” directed by photographer Sophia Wilson and creative directed and produced by Raquel Michel.
“My Room” (Dim Mak) is a soulful Tech House record featuring tubular bass-heavy loops, swirling high hats and ethereal vocals from Callie herself. It is an ode to the diverse pleasures found within the confines of one’s bedroom and takes on new life in its accompanying music video. People from all walks of life doing activities in the same bedroom are captured. From a ballerina doing warm-ups to artists making music to a toddler creating his own world, the video is a celebration of everything a bedroom has to offer and a reflection of the dynamic NYC community that Callie’s has curated around her.

DJ Tennis & Ashee & SUPERPOSITION & MAOTIK London Installation
DJ Tennis and Ashee reveal their new collaborative project Tenashee, along with A/V installation SUPERPOSITION in partnership with lauded visual artist MAOTIK. The installation has been unveiled at London’s W1 Studios, and will remain in place throughout September, with the Tenashee live A/V show to debut on September 19. A concept as at home in galleries and cultural spaces as it is in the live environment, this marks only the beginning of Tenashee’s story and evolution.

Jean-Michel Jarre Closes Out Paris Olympics
In a stunning finale that resonated with the spirit of innovation and creativity, Jean-Michel Jarre, the iconic pioneer of electronic music, headlined the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. La Paloma Autumn Program
Barcelona’s mythical ballroom, La Paloma, have announced their autumn club program. The club, which is the oldest in Europe, originally opened in 1903, has been operating a phased re-opening following several years of closure.
Throughout September the club will welcome Antal, Machinedrum (Live), Danilo Plessow B2B Hugo LX (All Night Long) and Fantastic Man, with Barcelona-based Mainline Collective and queer extravaganza Loco Bingo continuing their ongoing residencies.
Maddy O’Neal & Three 6 Mafia & DJ Paul – Run It Back
The ever-evolving, electro-soul powerhouse Maddy O’Neal is gearing up towards her next big artistic statement.
Now, the versatile artist unveils the LP’s second single “Run It Back,” a collaboration with Three 6 Mafia co-founder DJ Paul and jamtronica keyboardist/producer Jason Leech. Fusing the virtuosic sensibilities of its three creators, “Run It Back” is a grandiose showcase of trunk-rattling production, shimmering keyboard melodies, and a heavy dose of Memphis hip-hop swagger.
