Shabang 2025 RECAP!

Greetings goblins & ghouls, I’m here to tell you all about my experience at Shabang this year. Filled with music, art, dancing, and laughing – I had a weekend that made my heart full.

Upon arrival, it was so easy to get into the festival, set up the campsite, and explore the festival grounds. The vendors had face painting, clothing, jewelry, and so much more. There was also delicious food like pizza, poke, and dumplings! We bopped around and made a lap checking out the festival and everything it has to offer. I was excited to stop by the University and do some yoga or a twerk workshop!

After our scrounging around we went to Funk Safari to check out Gudfella. Of course he was an absolute legend and we danced the whole time to his set. After Gudfella we saw OMNOM and Jungle’s DJ set. Both were such a vibe and I’m pretty sure I left my heart at Funk Safari last weekend. On Saturday we got to see Kream, Briston Maroney, ODDMOB, and Wallows. All super fun performances I won’t forget. You can check out the full lineup here.

Whenever we took a break from the jams to walk around, we ran into different local media companies asking on how to make Shabang better. Being in the Central Coast of California, we don’t get too many big artists or events because most people land in L.A. or The Bay. We spoke to some reporters and let them know that we would love for Shabang to expand, and with the turnout this year, I’m hoping they will!

Overall, Shabang 2025 was absolutely magical and we can’t wait for next year! Shabang has already announced their dates for 2026. May 1st & 2nd – and tickets will be going on sale this Thursday at 11am. Act fast to get their cheapest tickets available and join us for some funk & vibes next year!
