Summer Meltdown 2019 is the place where the music meets the mountains!
Nestled deep in the Cascade Mountains, Summer Meltdown 2019 is about to take over the hills of Darrington, Washington. For 4 days in August, the 1st-4th, the team will hold its 14th installment at the foothills of Whitehorse Mountain. A summer camp-out full of music, nature and a vibrant community coming together to create a magical experience. First off, this years lineup is stacked high with some incredible shows! Headlining the event are acts including Tipper, Umphrey’s Mcgee, Gramatik, and Nahko And Medicine For The People! We will also see The Polish Ambassador, G Jones, Clozee, Minnesota, and Manic Focus bringing their own signature sounds! In the late Night Tent and Sensatorium, you can find state-of-the-art lighting and interactive art brought back to us by Sensebellum. Along with groovy tunes, and astonishing art, Summer Meltdown also provides countless opportunities to learn and interact with nature.
This is more than a music festival, here you can find time to truly immerse yourself in the lush landscape of nature. When the sun brings the heat, cool off by relaxing in the river or in a hammock among the trees. As the sun sets, you’ll hear music cascading through nature, and joy felt in every corner. There’s also plenty of workshops to join like Beginners Acroyoga, Green yoga, Hooping, and Sound Journeys. Along with workshops, you can also spend time exploring the various art installations. The Disc-o-tech and Dream Net will each create unique pieces along with The Astral Cockpit, Axis Mundi the geometric shrine and the Psychedahlia Garden. When your not completely immersed in the music, nature or art, you can find time to explore all the food and merchandise vendors. With endless opportunities and things to explore, this is a weekend in the mountains you’ll never forget.
