Promoter Interview With The One Out
Recently, we were able to interview the team behind The One Out, which takes place in Surrey on Saturday 18th June 2022.
Describe the event:
I’ve spent years helping other companies host their events on our event site, but always wanted to create my own event. So in 2019 we started planning One Out festival (little did I know a global pandemic would break out and try to ruin my plans).
We wanted to create a quirky and proudly diverse festival. I’m a massive festival lover myself, so wanted to create a proper event. Nothing too fussy. Just really good music and a super chilled out vibe. One Out is all about the people. We had Roger Sanchez headline our disco stage last year, so we had a good range of ages, from 18-40.
Favourite thing about throwing events:
The best thing about planning events is watching it all transpire on the day. So much goes into planning large events, it’s mad! A year’s worth of work and it’s over in a day.
But the best part is seeing everyone have the best time. It’s stressful but so worth the reward when you see everyone dancing with their mates.
Best memory from throwing events:
My favourite memory has to be from the first One Out festival. It was about 10pm and Hannah Wants was closing the main stage. I’d been running about all day since 6am getting stuff sorted. But I stood back with a beer and took it all in. Definitely my favourite (and proudest) moment.

Favourite event I’ve hosted so far:
It’s got to be One Out. The whole vibe was totally insane. Everyone was on such a good level and the music was spot on. Even the artists said it was an event like no other. Just genuinely so much fun.
Looking forward to for One Out?
I’m buzzing to see Crazy P headline the VIP stage. We didn’t have a stage in VIP last year, so to see such a big name headline such an intimate stage, it’s going to be insane.
We’ve also got some heavier artists this year like Dusky and Skream. I’m excited to see them bring a different vibe to the festival. We’ve really upped our sound system this year, it’s going to go off!!
