2018 NYE Festivals and Shows
It’s no secret that the EDM world has completely exploded over the past few years. As new festivals appear left and right, festival goers are faced with some tough decisions. With only 46 days until NYE, everyone is finalizing travel plans, booking hotels, and preparing to ring in the New Year with some of their favorite DJs! There are so many amazing choices this year, and even though you can’t go to them all, you truly can’t go wrong with any of them!
So, let’s talk about the choices…
LIGHTS ALL NIGHT
Lights All Night (LAN)- Known as Texas’ longest running EDM fest, LAN will be taking place in Dallas December 28th and 29th. Headliners include Excision, Rezz, Tiesto, and Diplo.

SNOWTA
Snowta– This 2-day event will be will at The Minneapolis Convention Center December 30th and 31st. In case you’re looking to catch a performance by Skrillex but Az is too far, you can rage out with him during his New Years Eve countdown performance at Snowta! Oher acts you definitely don’t want to miss are GWN, Ghastly, Boogie T, and Peekaboo. As if the lineup is reason enough to head to Minnesota, Snowta will also feature a Skate Park, Snowboard Rail Jam, and Bungee Trampolines!
SNOWGLOBE
SnowGlobe– For those of you out West, SnowGlobe might be the move! With performances by RL Grime, Big Gigantic, and Nghtmare B2B Slander, you’re in for one hell of a NYE!
And Then There’s Decadence!
DECADENCE ARIZONA
Decadence Arizona– Taking place in Chandler, Arizona December 30th and 31st, this 2-day festival features Above and Beyond, Alison Wonderland, Porter Robinson, Shrillex, Eric Prydz, and no other than DJ Diesel aka Shaq!
DECADENCE COLORADO
Decadence Colorado– Big Wild, Griz, Zeds Dead, and Bassnectar are starring this one-day event taking place December 30th. For those of you who want to release a good cry before the New Year, Illenium will also be there.
DECADENCE UTAH
Decadence Utah– Everyone seems to forget about Decadence Utah! But seriously, how can you with Adventure Club, BTSM, Downlink, and Getter to get your new year started off right?!
As for me, I was dead set on going to Lights All Night… that was until I went to Lost Lands. Now I have decided to ring in the New Year with no other than the Bass God himself, Excision! Headlining Radiance in Milwaukee, WI December 31st, this is my most anticipated show of the year (that is aside from seeing X on my birthday back in February). Zed’s Dead, Bear Grillz, Riot Ten, Whipped Cream, and Spock will also be in attendance. Of course, X will be headlining LAN as well, but nothing can top an actual NYE countdown performance! But no matter what your decision is, we are all guaranteed to have the time of our lives! Here’s to an amazing end to 2018 and an even better beginning to 2019! Cheers!
