Artist Biography

Blondshell is the Los Angeles–based indie rock project of singer‑songwriter Sabrina Mae Teitelbaum, whose technical mastery of 90s‑inflected alternative rock has rapidly elevated her from early pop beginnings into one of modern rock’s most compelling voices. Originally recording under the name BAUM, Teitelbaum pivoted during the pandemic to embrace a grunge‑tinged, guitar‑driven sonic identity, launching the Blondshell moniker with her debut single “Olympus,” and unveiling her critically acclaimed self‑titled album in 2023 — a taut, meticulously produced collection that marries jagged riffs, atmospheric layering, and introspective narratives rooted in heartbreak and personal evolution. Produced with Yves Rothman, her work balances distortion‑rich textures and punchy melodic hooks with structural precision, drawing on influences from Britpop, grunge, and indie rock while carving out a distinctly modern expression; her 2025 follow‑up If You Asked for a Picture expands this sonic palette with rich harmonic interplay, dynamic songcraft, and visceral emotional depth that showcases both songwriting sophistication and a raw, cathartic live presence.
