Paraleven- Lucid (Icarus Remix)
Paraleven made his grand debut on Rose Avenue in April with “Lucid”—which has since been revealed as a part of his upcoming album, ‘Apollo’. UK duo Icarus now take up the torch in the path to ‘Apollo,’ twisting the YouTube Music-charting single into a high octane composition fit for peak time on the dancefloor. From the ground up, the mellow original version is reconstructed. Its subtle harmonic progressions are placed center stage atop fervent kicks and a resonant bassline, making for a piece that stands completely on its own.
RÜFÜS DU SOL- Next to Me
‘Next To Me’ portrays a sense of maturity and adoration on a level not felt before from the band. At its core, it is a song of devotion, of caring compassion, an affair of the heart not undercut by the pressures of stardom or toils of young love. It’s a point of departure from the haunting emotive roller coaster of the recent single ‘Alive’, and a more positive lyrical take on the foundation set by the similarly anthemic ‘Treat You Better’ off the 2018 Grammy-nominated ‘SOLACE’ LP.
Quark and Nyquist- Shadows
Shadows is a dark and ethereal tune from underground up and comers Quark and Nyquist. Both of their signature techniques come together to pair eerie basslines with pounding drum work.
These two recently released a collaboration entitled “Jungle” via Superb Beats Collective. Quark also just played an unforgettable set at CloZee’s Voyage Festival back in June, and Nyquist played Restore Love’s Festival just last month. As these two continue to release tracks and play shows their momentum only gets stronger.
