Equal Vision Records
Hot Water Music- Lock UP
Equal Vision Records and acclaimed punk band Hot Water Music are excited to present “Lock Up,” the newest single to be lifted from the Friday, March 18 release of the band’s brand new studio album, Feel The Void (pre-order HERE). Recalling an old European tour memory, vocalist/guitarist Chris Wollard remembers the demeanor of members of his touring party being one of extreme mental and physical exhaustion. Finding it within themselves to carry on, “Lock Up” reveals this continued need to persevere in all aspects of life during those moments when it becomes the most challenging. “The pressure is immense to keep moving forward no matter what, so you have to develop a sort of tunnel vision and just try not to think about it,” Wollard says. “But there will be a point, no doubt about it, where you feel yourself slipping. Total exhaustion and delirium set in. I think we have all hit that wall in our band at different points. And like I said, it’s a very difficult place to be.”
Bobby Halverson- I Remember
Sacramento-based singer-songwriter Bobby Halvorson is pleased to release his covers of The Association’s classic single “Never My Love” and Molly Drake’s “I Remember.”
Don Peyote- In My Head
Don Peyote begins 2022 with new track “In My Head” coming out February 18th. With recent spots on the Buku Music + Art Festival lineup and releases on Electric Hawk and Headbang Society, Don Peyote is climbing up the ranks in the bass world. Playing off of trap and wave elements, his new track “In My Head” is a mammoth. Echoing sound chambers open the track, with thumping bass slowly crescendoing to the first apex of the track. A distant vocal plays into the first drop, taking us through the slicing and resounding drop with ease. Slicing bass cuts meet bouncing thumps leading into a second drop. Soon after, the punching bass takes reprieve before diving into a breakdown reminiscent of hard wave and trance. Subtle yet growing bass leads us out of the track, and deeper into our heads.

Out now, ‘Break Me’ is available to listen to across all streaming platforms.
Black V Neck- Rewind It Back EP
Black V Neck serves up their debut release for Insomniac Records, looming into the frame with their new two-tracker ‘Rewind It Back.’
Ian Beato and Julian Sacheli are two Miami natives that are cut from the same cloth. They’re both driven by a blatant disregard for whatever the masses consider to be in vogue, effectively allowing the material from their house music project to set bodies in motion entirely on its own terms. On their first appearance with Insomniac, the “two-man, one-shirt” tech house duo offers up a high-end label debut tailor-made for the club.
Haunted Summer- You Put My Love Out The Door
Perfectly timed for a February 14 release, Haunted Summer return with a dreamy, yet moody cover of “You Put My Love Out the Door,” a heartbreaking Daniel Johnston pop ballad that poetically captures the gut-punch feeling that follows a bewildering case of rejection and unrequited love on a cold Valentine’s Day.
GG Magree- My Wicked
Australian producer and singer-songwriter GG Magree made her Monstercat debut today, with the intoxicating new single, “My Wicked.” Appearing on her forthcoming EP, the song is a brilliant showcase of GG’s inherent ability to coalesce her authentic lyricism with her guitar-led bass sound. Introducing themes that will carry on throughout the project, “My Wicked” attempts to protect the innocence of love while questioning the bitterness of its pitfalls, enveloped by GG’s angelic vocals and anthemic melodies.

The band released three pre-album singles, “All We’ve Lost,” “Flattened” and “Phases of The Moon.” A Pessimist Is Never Disapponted raved, “‘All We’ve Lost,’ it’s got one of the best songs I’ve heard this year so far.” On the band’s return, Buzzbands LA says, “Makers of indie-rock with glam and prog flourishes, Oliver Future offset the challenging nature of their music with sheer showmanship and musicianship. For instance, they could clap their heels and in a flash turn into their alter-ego cover band, Pudge Zeppelin.”
Kelland & Willa- RIP TO US
Canadian DJ/producer Kelland and Toronto-based talent Willa return to the release radar with ‘RIP TO US’, marking each artists’ first official release of the new year. A Will Away- Stew
A Will Away are excited for the release of their new album Stew, out today, February 18th via Rude Records. “There’s a warmth in the strums of its guitar that easily lodges itself into the heart and refuses to budge. And at its core, it’s incredibly lovely” writes Kerrang of the new album. Brooklyn Vegan have noted the album’s range across singles, praising the “slower, heavier, and more melodramatic” sound of songs like “Re-Up” and the “big, anthemic alt-rock” of tracks like “Karma” and “I’ve Got A Five”. Their new singles have also been highlighted in recent months by Spotify and Apple Music’s “All New Rock” and “New In Rock” playlists respectively. To celebrate the release the band are playing a Record Release Show tonight in Ridgefield, CT at Nod Hill Brewery (Tickets).

Out now, Ride The Wild Night is neither completely similar nor dissimilar to Reis’ previous bands (Hot Snakes, Night Marchers, The Sultans, Rocket From The Crypt, Drive Like Jehu), yet the sound is immediately familiar and assuring — like an old friend you lost touch with that comes back into your life only to ask to borrow money. The music is an amalgam of Sixties folk-punk, Seventies punk-punk and pre-Vietnam War rock ’n’ roll, filtered through Reis’ unregistered, trademark sensibilities.
