Ry Hill-Staring at the Sun Video

On the music video, Ry Hill says:
“The music video reflects the anxieties associated with self-isolation. Where I came from and what’s going through my mind is sort of up for interpretation. I may have just come from a date that went terribly, or maybe I’m having a bad trip. Or an existential crisis. The director Danny Higgins and DP Fio Karpenko did an excellent job making it all come together.”

OOTORO – Breaking Away

Dubbed by Dancing Astronaut as one of the few artists maintaining house music’s novelty, OOTORO is now back with ‘Breaking Away’ — his fourth release this year following his ‘Warehouse EP’ and track ‘Just Like’. ‘Breaking Away’ finds its inspiration in the UK underground house scene, a simple but groovy track. OOTORO wanted to create a track that shares the same vibe as his earlier release ‘All I Need’.

His past link up on STMPD RCRDS with Bleu Clair on ‘Beat Like This’ was well-greeted by DJ Snake and Malaa on their Secret Room back-to-back. So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise if OOTORO’s ‘Breaking Away’ finds itself nestling on a flock of 2021’s best releases.

Oliver Koletzki- Made of Cashmere & Serpiente Del Ritmo

Today, Oliver Koletzki continues unveiling his upcoming album, ‘Made Of Wood,’ with another set of singles, “Made Of Cashmere” and “Serpiente Del Ritmo.” These new compositions showcase just how dynamic the longform’s concept of handcrafted electronic music is. The pack begins with a shimmering “Made Of Cashmere,” which leans toward the melodic techno Koletzki’s label Stil Vor Talent is known for with hypnotic arpeggios and complex synth layers. True to the theme, however, these elements are balanced out by orchestral pads and wooden drum patterns beneath. “Serpiente Del Ritmo,” featuring ELIH on vocal duties, offers a more organic look at ‘Made Of Wood,’ with its Spanish lyrics and thick layers of piano, percussion, and horns taking listeners straight to the jungles of Tulum that inspired it.

Teenage Sequence- All This Art

Independent Queer/trans label Get Better Records (Control Top, Evan Greer, The HIRS Collective, Lande Hekt) and London-born, British South Asian multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Teenage Sequence are excited to present “All This Art,” a track that turns a scathing eye on the small indignities and hypocrisies of a music industry that doesn’t want to face its own racial shortcomings. Clocking in at 6:29 of spoken word over a dance beat as bright, tart, and cutting as the song’s lyrics, “All This Art” disregards the rules of modern pop and alternative songwriting in favor of brutal honesty and bittersweet fun.

Eventually, they come to believe they are actually capable of lasting connections and realize their potential to be fit enough for someone else—it’s a suspicious invitation but is intended to be light and tongue-in-cheek
