The song is a perfect blend of the unique styles of both Dirty Palm and Bad Reputation, with Diamond Eyes’ soaring vocals taking center stage.
Dirty Palm and Bad Reputation first met when Dirty Palm discovered some of their unofficial remixes on SoundCloud. Though their styles are similar, Dirty Palm was drawn to working with up-and-coming artists because of their raw production process. By adding his own touch and production experience, they were able to create a more mature and festival-ready sound. Manic Focus & Balkan Bump- Brassive Attack feat. Chika Di
Denver-based producer Manic Focus is evolving in real time. Similar to his skillset as a magician, he pushes boundaries of what’s possible in his music with a production process akin to sleight-of-hand: he executes awe-inspiring sonic acts with an ever-developing, genre-defying sound.
Now, Manic Focus releases “Brassive Attack,” a hip-hop and electronic-infused latin-pop track with producer/trumpeter Balkan Bump (who rose to prominence after working with Gramatik and Talib Kweli) and Colombian singer Chika Di. “Brassive Attack” is Manic Focus’ first collaboration with Chika Di, and second collaboration with Balkan Bump, following the producer’s remix of Bump and CloZee’s track “Varshaver.”
Maraschino- Hollywood Piano
In the mid-80s, Maraschino might be the spunky Susan, desperately seeking love in a loveless town or the carefree Nikki Finn (from Who’s That Girl?), accused of murdering her boyfriend but somehow finding a rollicking adventure out of it. Actually, Madonna is a good place to start with Maraschino, the brainchild of Piper Durabo, the bloodied but unbowed LA cult figure—think Eve Babitz with a synthesizer—whose music weaves the strange tales of an unfiltered outsider popstar arch-hero in the midst of societal collapse.

Niina Soleil- Happy Pills
California’s summer sister, singer-songwriter Niina Soleil (Nina Shallman), emerges again, departing from her past sun-kissed singles in favor of the night games. Photo Ops- The Dream Is Done
“The overwhelming sense of being around people after being isolated for so long is one of the main themes of the record. Going to the park just to see people, and feel like a human being. Using imagery to convey the strange nature of the passage of time. The shadows’ shape changing as weeks go by. Being inside for a long time then suddenly going out into the sun. Saying goodbye to the past, your own sense of who you were, are, and are becoming.” -Terry Price / Photo Ops

“On April 28th, Skysia presents a groundbreaking storytelling experience with his album, ‘Here.’ Accompanied by a feature-length film, this album is a journey through the full spectrum of life, from birth to death. The opening track, ‘Time,’ sets the stage for the beginning of life and the introduction to the world. The album then guides the listener through a captivating journey of the human experience, culminating in the track ‘Breathless Voyage,’ which symbolizes the end of life and the crossing over to the other side. Finally, the outro track, ‘Return,’ brings the listener back to the beginning, completing the cycle of life and reminding us of our connection to the universe. ‘Here’ is a powerful reminder of the importance of memory and how it shapes our humanity. It invites the listener to reflect on their own life journey and to find their center amidst the magic and struggles of being alive.”
But before the full album drops, fans can get a taste of what’s to come with the release of the first single, “Moonflower,” featuring Kumali as the vocalist, on March 3rd. This downtempo electronic track creates a nostalgic and dreamy atmosphere, with Kumali’s ethereal vocals adding a layer of emotion and depth. This track will be accompanied by a music video.

SWIMM- Talk To Me
After a 6-week North American tour and a flourish of lauded singles boasting multiple high profile spots (from a Kelly Slater documentary, to the Hulu feature film The Unicorn, a national Progressive Insurance commercial, and a Juneshine commercial and ambassador event), LA-based psych-pop group SWIMM prepare to release their sophomore LP Best Comedown Ever on August 10.
The first single from the album, “Talk To Me,” is a playfully sardonic take on modern polyamory — its hook is a soulfully stacked harmony that repeats, “who am I to stand in the way?.” SWIMM’s penchant for writing seraphic hooks over infectious groove is nudging them towards the rarified air of dance juggernauts like Jungle and Caribou.
