Akriza & Mah Ze Tar- Where You Are, Now
Akriza & Mah Ze Tar team up for a mesmerizing single out on Gravitas Recordings May 19th, 2023. It showcases both their sounds in an exciting new way and puts us in a trance the second we press play. Both artists have been heavily in the scene with their touring and production, and this single and upcoming collaboration album is something special. We look forward to sharing the rest, and are very excited to showcase this epic single to give listeners a taste of what is to come.
Allie Crow Buckley- Utopian Fantasy
Los Angeles & London-based atmospheric folk-pop artist, Allie Crow Buckley, unveils her otherworldly sophomore album, Utopian Fantasy. Embarking on a transcendent sonic voyage, this lush record takes the listener on a psychedelic journey into the depths of Buckley’s psyche, intertwining Greek Mythology, the mysterious realm of the faerie, and influences of fashion, dance, and poetry. With sonic shades and influences of Joni Mitchell and Black Sabbath, the record was recorded at the 4AD Studio in London, mastered at Abbey Road, and was written, recorded, and produced by Allie Crow Buckley and Jason Boesel (Rilo Kiley, Bright Eyes) everywhere from a small cottage in the lush English countryside to the sunny mountains of Ojai, California, and several hotels in between.
Anabel Englund- Strangely Sentimental
Ever had a fleeting longing for a past relationship that wasn’t a good one? 2023 iHeart Radio “Dance Music Artist of the Year” winner Anabel Englund leaps into the subject with her latest single “Strangely Sentimental” out today (May 19) on Ultra Records.
Electronic producer & DJ ANNA today releases her debut ambient electronic album Intentions via Mercury KX.

Callie Reiff & Linney- Something 2 Luv 4 (with Advokid)
New York-based DJ and producer Callie Reiff and Los Angeles-based artist Linney release their mesmerizing Progressive House single “Something 2 Luv 4 (with Advokid).” Callie Reiff’s shimmering production is flawlessly blended with Linney’s emotional vocals. Advokid is the new electronic project from esteemed songwriter, Ross Golan.
French multi talented artist and Odyzey Music label head CloZee announces her upcoming headline Microworlds Tour. Kicking off on September 28th, the Microworlds Tour will see CloZee journey across North America hitting more than 30 different cities over 45 dates, and marking the biggest headline tour of her career.

Chloe Jane- No Patience (No Tengo Pacience)
NYC-based pop singer-songwriter/dancer Chloe Jane returns with another brand new single entitled “No Patience (No Tengo Pacienca),” alongside an accompanying music video. The track itself, and its Spanglish nature, speaks on the songstress’ love for Latin music and influences, which have made an impact on her throughout her life.
Corvair- Shady Town
Portland-based indie pop band Corvair are excited to share their new single and video “Shady Town.“ The song is the second track to be released off their sophomore album Bound To Be out June 23 via Paper Walls and UK label Where It’s At is Where You Are (pre-order). The riff-heavy pop song lands in the long tradition of ‘let’s get out of town’ songs. “Shady Town” debuted today at Flood Magazine and will be on all streaming platforms on Friday for any playlist shares (pre-save).
Daktyl & Benni Ola- Chaos Theory (Part 1)
Prodigy multi-instrumentalist and electronic music producer Daktyl and acclaimed poet and songwriter Benni Ola release their long-awaited Chaos Theory (Part 1) EP via TOKiMONSTA’s Young Art Records. Building on the buzz generated by their highly-regarded singles ‘Matrix’ and ‘Say No More’, Daktyl and Benni Ola’s debut collaborative body of work is now available in its entirety.
Darby x juuku- Reminisce
Melbourne-based music producer Darby and LA-based producer juuku have united to produce an evocative new track titled “Reminisce”. The song delves into the bittersweet memories of love’s ups and downs. The track is scheduled for release on May 17th, 2023, and promises to be a potent addition to their respective music portfolios.
dayaway- ocean blues and hot blue summer
dayaway (the dreamy indie-pop project of Amber Renee and Graham Marsh of CLAVVS) announce the forthcoming release of a brand new EP, blue summer moon, out August 30 via Turn To Wind. Preceded by two stellar singles — “ocean blues,” a song concerned with forbidden desire, and “hot blue summer,” an indie bop with hazy guitars, dusty drums, and the duo’s signature hooky melodies — the EP, as described by the duo, is “a collection of songs that tell a story of love and loss; each song is a new phase of that story.” They continue, “Naturally, we’re releasing it on the only blue moon of the year, August 30th, 2023.”
Desert Mambas- Buzz Cut Blues
Desert Mambas is the nom-de-plume of Foxx Bodies guitarist Bailey Moses. Today Desert Mambas is pleased to share their single “Buzz Cut Blues” and its accompanying video, which was directed by Penelope Uribe-Abee. “Buzz Cut Blues” debuted today at The Week In Pop and is available now on Bandcamp. The song will be on all streaming platforms on Thursday, May 18 via Kill Rock Stars Nashville for any playlist shares (pre-save).
Dexys- I’m Going To Get Free
Storied English pop-rock band Dexys (formerly Dexys Midnight Runners) — who are perhaps best known for their Brit Award-winning commercial smash-hit “Come On Eileen,” which reached number one in 8 countries and became the best-selling single in the UK and US in 1982 — are finally returning in full swing with their first new record of original material in over a decade, The Feminine Divine, due July 28 via 100% Records. To introduce the record, they recently shared its first single, “I’m Going To Get Free,” alongside an accompanying music video.
d4vd- Don’t Forget About Me
18-year-old genre-bending artist d4vd unveils new track ‘Don’t Forget About Me‘,the latest and last offering from his upcoming EP, Petals To Thorns, before its release on May 26 via Darkroom/Interscope.

Emma Hewitt- Ghost Of The Light
The inimitable Emma Hewitt unearths the full spectrum of her artistry, as she takes on the mantle of singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and co-producer in her awe-inspiring new album, Ghost Of The Light, out May 19 via Black Hole Recordings.

FORAGER- Fuji or a Trek
First, a spontaneous bike ride to Coney Island, then a chance encounter with your high school English teacher at a rave. These two events inspired the sentiment behind “Fuji or a Trek”: things that used to make you feel youthful suddenly seem to do the opposite. That theme is underscored by a dramatic musical gesture—halfway through the song the uptempo drum and bass beat swerves into a slow, heavy funk groove.
Frank Viele- The Trouble With Desire
Connecticut-based singer-songwriter Frank Viele shares a brand new single entitled “The Trouble With Desire,” the second track off his forthcoming 2023 LP and follow-up to his January release, “Hearts We Left Behind.”
Glove- Chewing on a Wire
Glove releases their first single of 2023, “Chewing on a Wire” alongside a texturally rich official video. Fusing elements of post punk and new wave, Glove both sonically and visually specializes in the intentional clashing of elements. In the self-directed arthouse official video, viewers are invited into a harmonious dance of flesh and wire, further tangling them into the unending fractals of nature and those that are manmade.
Dynamic producer and DJ Godlands continues her hot streak of genre-bending tracks with “Crashing,” out today on Monstercat Uncaged. The record marks the third single from her EP that is arriving next month. “Crashing” carries on her upcoming EP’s narrative of her experience with Imposter Syndrome and other personal battles. Although she reworked the track multiple times, Godlands overcame feelings of self-doubt and delivered a powerful electronic record. The single puts Godlands’ versatile stylings forward in an innovative light as she injects her exploration of breaks with epic trap leads. Fans can hear Godlands’ fresh tunes from her upcoming EP live as she returns to Tomorrowland this year.
Great Northern- ANIML
Hailing from multiple territories in California, Great Northern are back with a clear vision and a new found lust for creating.
In January 2023 the band released a string of new songs and today they are sharing their latest single, “ANIML.” The track debuted at Post-Punk and the song is on all streaming platforms for any playlist shares. Post-Punk on the track, “Employing a potent mix of keyboards and drum machines, coupled with assertive guitar work and soaring vocals, ‘ANIML’s sound is founded on raw emotional drive and a tender, albeit ferocious, vulnerability.” Great Northern will be releasing several new songs this spring, with a full record to follow later this year.
Greensky Bluegrass- Congratulations & Condolences
Greensky Bluegrass are thrilled to share “Congratulations & Condolences,” a rare B-Side release from their most recent album Stress Dreams. The song was co-written by Greensky’s Paul Hoffman (mandolin, vocals) and Joshua Davis (Steppin’ In It, Shout Sister Shout). After Davis lost his father and received a son days apart, the timing of back-to-back congratulations and condolences provided striking context to the complexity of life and friendship. The song is available today on DSPs HERE. The accompanying video for “Congratulations & Condolences” showcases exclusive footage from the studio. The visuals, recorded on 8mm tape, underscore the lyricism and depth of the song: “How did we become friends like this/congratulations and condolences.”

Mixing palettes of French electro, indie dance, and dance punk, the result is a sonic gestalt of childhood memories that have been compressed into the present day. FLOOD Magazine once called Chicago soul band Hollyy “the future of retro-rock,” and the band has been sharing their soulful songs over the past few years with two EPs and several singles.
After spending the last few years between home during lockdown, then on the road for tours, and finally in and out of studios, they’re debuting new music in 2023, including their second single of the year today with “By My Side.”
Homeschool- Just Now
It has been a tumultuous year for Homeschool, the solo project of NYC singer-songwriter Tom D’Agustino (he/they). As a newcomer to life as an independent artist with unfettered control of the creative process, Homeschool has spent the past year experimenting with music and masculinity, inching closer to what they feel is an “authentic” way of being in the world. As a newcomer to acting, D’Agustino is reveling in the opportunity to explore the worlds of different characters, to “experiment with who I’m able to become,” he says.

Leaving Laurel- when the quiet comes
Leaving Laurel have announced their sophomore album ‘when the quiet comes’ will land May 19 via Anjunadeep, with the first single ‘one last thing you never said’ out now. The announcement marks a new chapter for band members Gordon Huntley and Griff Fulton following the difficult loss of Pierce Fulton, whose talent and passion were immortalised in Leaving Laurel’s acclaimed self-titled 2020 debut album.

Powel- Piano Reeves
Enter the ethereal sonic realm of Paul Chriske, the German musical maestro known as Powel, who specializes in “creating harmonious illusions of sound.” Powel is a longtime family member of Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream imprint, having first released on the label in 2015. Releasing his four track Piano Reeves EP on May 19, Powel returns to All Day I Dream to release his first record with the label since his The Beauty of a Polaroid album in 2020.
Red Scarves- Headlight
Chicago indie-rock quartet Red Scarves is a band where every member sings and writes songs — yes, even the drummer. The band began while two of the members were in a college class on Bob Dylan, and their affinity for classic songwriting has kept them together nearly a decade later.
Rezz & Grabbitz- Signal
Canadian bass music legend and HypnoVizion label head Rezz and rocktronic artist Grabbitz reunite for their second collaborative single ‘Signal’. The latest in a string of goth-inspired releases from the producer/DJ, ‘Signal’ serves as the second single off Rezz’s forthcoming IT’S NOT A PHASE EP, due out this summer.
Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol Tour
Austin trio Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol just completed the first leg of their summer U.S. tour dates and today added July shows with Crobot. The Hudson Valley, NY based indie rock-folk band Setting Sun shares their self-produced, first album in ten years, The Feelings Cure, out everywhere now via Young Love Records. The long-awaited album meets the band where they are today. 10 short years have passed since SKATERS’ formation in Lower East Side Manhattan. Within months of forming and a self-released EP, the band was signed to Warner Brothers Records, toured around the world, had global critical acclaim from NME to the New York Times. Two years later, they released their debut album, Manhattan with WBR, were dropped, self-released their sophomore album Rock n Roll Bye Bye independently, and then disappeared. It was a whirlwind ride for the band that came at one of the most difficult transitions in the music industry – the exact time digital downloads plummeted, and streaming had not yet reached the masses. Sgt. Splendor- Death of the Hoochie Koo
When presented with the opportunity to break in a new studio at the same location the Grateful Dead recorded their first demos, most seasoned musicians would seize the chance to create at the sacred grounds to soak in the spirits of one of the most sought-after acts in modern music history. When Joby Pritzker and Aaron Vermut built The Jam Cave and co-founded Buena Vista West Records, they invited Sgt. Splendor, the New York City-based power duo of Kate Vargas and Eric McFadden to christen the new space alongside iconic engineer Oz Fritz (Tom Waits, Bill Laswell, Iggy Pop). During a 3-day recording session, what was initially anticipated to yield one or two singles turned into a full-length album, Death of the Hoochie Koo, coming out on May 19th via Buena Vista West Records.

G59 Record$ and New Orleans duo $uicideboy$ have announced their annual Grey Day Tour for 2023, which will include over 40 shows across the country. The tour starts on August 25th at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, AL, and will visit Phoneix, AZ, on October 06th. Presented by Relentless Beats, Universatile Music, and AEG, support acts for the Arizona date will include Ghostemane, City Morgue, Freddie Dredd, Sematary, and Ramirez, before continuing through October 30th in Denver, CO. The Phoenix stop of the 2022 Grey Day Tour sold out with over 20,000 attendees- the largest show at the Phoenix Raceway to date.

TELECOMS is the new project and band from Brooklyn-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sean McVerry (who has previous credits working/touring with artists such as Karen O, Danger Mouse, AURORA, and pieces of the roster on J Cole‘s Dreamville label). The project — which melds 60s brit-pop influence with touches of late 2000’s NY indie grit and hints of cheeky theatrics — recently made its debut with a first single entitled “Ramon,” and now, it’s being followed up with the release of another track, “Two Steps,” alongside an accompanying video directed by Matt Speno.
The Hails & Magic City Hippies
Showcasing the dominance of the Florida indie scene, Miami’s The Hails and Magic City Hippies join forces for a remix of The Hails’ latest single “Fiona.” With the original version produced by Pat Howard of Magic City Hippies, this collaboration for the remix seemed like the natural choice to be made. Drenched in reverb, today’s spacey dance rework propels The Hails into the digital plane, while still preserving their inclination toward driving guitar riffs and bounding bass lines – Stream.
Thee Oh Sees- Live At Levitation
Back in 2012, Thee Oh Sees made their first appearance at Austin Psych Fest, performing an electrified set at Emo’s East. The first of the band’s many LEVITATION appearances down in Austin, this show has been revisited for a new series of vinyl releases, Live at LEVITATION, immortalizing it on glorious 12″ colored wax, mixed by John Dwyer and mastered for vinyl by JJ Golden.
