Bag Raiders today drop their latest release in a stream of new music, the shuffling ‘Letting Go‘.
Shifting their impulses from shuffling, warped sample-led percussion as on their previously released ‘UR Heart’ and ‘Never Forget’, Bag Raider‘s latest release ‘Letting Go‘ is a pensive, fast-paced mantra. In this latest era, Chris and Jack‘s music is dedicated to the emotional ties of club spaces and dancefloors, serving today a single devoid of indulgent hubris, but instead, presenting a vessel and means for release.
Bret Koontz & Truancy Club (ft. members of Fran, Famous Laughs) recently announced a brand new LP, A Sparkle Road Cult, out November 18 via Earth Libraries.
Now, the band shares their forthcoming record’s newest single, “Lonesome Rambler,” alongside an accompanying music video.
Direct- Twice Now
If you’re into electronic music, it’s quite likely the name ‘Direct’ rings a bell immediately. Whether you know the Ohio-based producer from one of his successful Monstercat releases such as “I’ll Go”, or “Margarita”, from one of many collaborations with artists like CloudNone, Danyka Nadeau, Mr. FijiWiji, and AK, or from his official remixes for Seven Lions or Midnight Kids, you might know him as the creator of the popular mixing tool “MiniMeters”, which you undoubtedly have seen come by on Twitter.
And if you know Direct well, you know him to make a blend of mellow, UK Garage-infused EDM. Now, he has joined San Holo’s bitbird to break out of that box, and start a new chapter in his career. Although his new single “Twice Now” isn’t on the complete opposite side of that, it does offer us something we haven’t heard from Direct before. Something more complex, innovative, and slightly more aggressive.
