Bag Raiders today drop their latest release in a stream of new music, the shuffling ‘Letting Go‘.

Following huge releases ‘Mvinline’ and ‘All I Want’ featuring Jake Shears, Boys Noize completes a triptych of heavy hitters with ‘Let Us Rave’ featuring Naeem & Velvet Negroni.

A squelchy four-on-the-floor groover laden with acidic bleeps, rumbling bass and distorted riffs, vocal talent in the form of Baltimore’s Naeem and Twin Cities native Velvet Negroni add layers of spoken word texture to the cut. With a noise complaint warning entwined in the track’s lyrics, ‘Let Us Rave’ is a bold, dynamic cut coined “the perfect party starter,” by its creator.

Caleb Lee Hutchinson- Songs I’ll Never Play Again

Caleb Lee Hutchinson surprised fans today by dropping a brand new EP titled Songs I’ll Never Play Again.  The new collection of songs was inspired by an idea that Hutchinson had years ago.  “I wrote the song “Preservation” in the beginning of 2020 and had the thought that it reminded me of old school country/bluegrass murder ballads that I had heard as a child. Not so much in the lyrical content, but the overall feel. It felt like fall, trees dying, seasonal depression already on it’s way. The idea then became to make the whole project sound that way. Sort of nostalgic and eery, very much reflective of Halloween time.”

Direct- Twice Now

If you’re into electronic music, it’s quite likely the name ‘Direct’ rings a bell immediately. Whether you know the Ohio-based producer from one of his successful Monstercat releases such as “I’ll Go”, or “Margarita”, from one of many collaborations with artists like CloudNone, Danyka Nadeau, Mr. FijiWiji, and AK, or from his official remixes for Seven Lions or Midnight Kids, you might know him as the creator of the popular mixing tool “MiniMeters”, which you undoubtedly have seen come by on Twitter.

And if you know Direct well, you know him to make a blend of mellow, UK Garage-infused EDM. Now, he has joined San Holo’s bitbird to break out of that box, and start a new chapter in his career. Although his new single “Twice Now” isn’t on the complete opposite side of that, it does offer us something we haven’t heard from Direct before. Something more complex, innovative, and slightly more aggressive.

Single Mothers- Everything You Need

Dine Alone Records and Canadian punk outfit Single Mothers are excited to announce the release of Everything You Need, the band’s latest full-length offering since 2018’s Through A Wall (purchase HERE). Relying on frontman Drew Thomson’s songwriting for the very first time in the band’s long and compelling history, Everything You Need is a set of songs written prior to the world shutting down in 2020 and whose poetic title is inspired by the name of a convenience store he’d walk past almost every day during the pandemic. “Everything you need,” Thomson says, “is just such a beautiful name for a place that sells lottery tickets and cigarettes and Coke Zero and Oh Henry’s.”

wes mills- nintendo 64

If you grew up in the 90s, you grew up with the Nintendo 64. And although new technology has made this console seem ancient by now, no modern-day console can live up to the nostalgic feeling the old-school Nintendo 64 brings you.

wes mills realized this when stumbling upon the all-time classic snowboarding game “1080” a couple of months back, and what quickly rolled out of that encounter was a nostalgic house track perfectly encapsulating the excitement you felt when getting to play the game, any game really, on the Nintendo 64 as a kid. A futuristic sounding soundtrack to a game that was futuristic for its time.

Aptly titled just ahead of Halloween, the velvety vocals and dark chords make for a haunting heartbreak anthem.
