Artist Biography

Subtronics, aka Jesse Kardon, is a Philly-based dubstep producer and DJ who spins some of the filthiest wubz on the planet. His humble origin story started in middle school when he was introduced to GarageBand and then continued into high school when he first attempted to make dubstep. He spent several years watching online tutorials and started releasing tracks under Subtronics, a mashup of “subwoofer” and “electronics”, in 2014. Three years later Subtronics released volume one of five of his mixtape series Now That’s What I Call Riddim which helped established him as a staple within the EDM scene. He started working on collaborations with Rusko, Boogie T, and Zeds Dead among others in 2019. One of these was “Griztronics” with GRiZ which became a viral hit on TikTok, peaking at number nine on the Billboard Hot/Dance Electronic Songs Chart and within the Top Ten of the Next Big Sound Chart. Subtronics continued on his path to success with more collaborations, including “House Party” with Marshmello, which led him to his debut album FRACTALS which dropped in 2022. The next year, he dropped a remix album ANTIFRACTALS which featured remixes of his debut album.

Subtronics is engaged to Level Up, aka Sonya Broner, who is also a bass DJ from Philly. The dream is a secret Roo set with Level Up. She had a sunrise slot for the RIP cancelled 2021 Bonnaroo.
