Artist Biography

Morgan Wade is a country/Americana artist from the small Appalachian town of Floyd, Virginia. Since she was a child, she has been enamored with music, writing songs in secret until she started performing at age 19 in 2013. She assembled a band via Craigslist and performed shows in Virginia. Morgan eventually got sober and finalized her lineup with her supporting band the Stepbrothers. The group released their debut album Puppets with My Heart in 2018. The same year Morgan played her hometown FloydFest and connected with Jason Isbell’s guitar tech who gave her CD to Sadler Vaden, the guitarist in the 400 Unit. This sparked a collaboration between the two that turned into the Billboard-charting album Reckless which was released via Thirty Tigers in 2021.
