Artist Biography

Bakar is an indie singer/producer from North London. In 2015, he started making his own tracks out of chopped-up King Krule samples that were uploaded online anonymously, which generated huge buzz. In 2017, he started releasing singles under his own name including “Big Dreams” and “Something I Said.” The next year he released his debut full-length titled Badkid which got endorsements from artists including Skepta and Elton John, which is no small feat. Bakar has since shifted around his sound in each of his releases, like on his EP Will You Be My Yellow? which has six songs that vary in style and genre. We’ll check him out on The Farm!
