Artist Biography

The late Neal Casal started Circles Around The Sun when he was asked to create filler music for set breaks during the Grateful Dead’s legendary “Fare Thee Well” tour in 2015. The band had no intention of doing anything past these studio recordings. When their music was played at the tour shows, the crowd fell in love with it. The newly converted fans took to the internet to find the origin of the tunes, which lead to Circles Around The Sun releasing the Grateful Dead tour recordings as their debut album titled Interludes for the Dead. Before Casal passed, the band recorded their double album Let it Wander and their EP Circles Around The Sun Meets Joe Russo. To keep his dream alive, the band continues to tour and craft a truly groovy soundscape. Circles Around The Sun has been welcomed by the jam community as a new staple must-see when they go on tour.

The band is currently on their Language 2022 Tour.
