Anyways, happy September 24th. Here are your releases of the week!

After crackin’ heads on dubplate for many years and building up a fearsome reputation, its creators have decided it’s time to unleash the beast. Beware, once ‘Arcade Fire’ is finally at large there will be nowhere to hide.

RÜFÜS DU SOL- On My Knees

‘SURRENDER’ (New Album!!!) sees RÜFÜS stridently building their own world; an album written on their own terms. The band’s electronic roots offer a proud point of separation from other stadium selling live artists, even as they write songs and play to crowds that break the traditional glass ceiling for dance acts.

This world building has been RÜFÜS’ focus since its inception, its name meant to evoke an otherworldly destination, a future point the band dreamed of arriving at from their bedrooms in Sydney, and, later, recording studios in Berlin and LA.

‘On My Knees’ is a brooding insight into RÜFÜS DU SOL’s darker tendencies, toying with honest emotions and aching lyricism, demonstrating what makes them so unique in the electronic space.

Rogerseventytwo – Overboard

After ‘Artificial Love’ and ‘Go Back’, Rogerseventytwo is continuing his journey of making that 00’s sounding Indie/Disco/Electro flavored track with a pinch of the filtered french touch, and his new effort goes by the name of ‘Overboard’. As a huge fan of the 00’s French House Era, he tried to focus on getting that specific feeling back. With ‘Overboard’ he focused on the filtered disco vibes, creating a timeless piece for the club that is accessible for a wider audience of the house genre.

Rogerseventytwo: ‘’With ‘Overboard’ I tried to simulate as if the track is sample based. But all elements are composed and pitched up to have the same feel as a sample house track. With a repeating soulful choir, a groovy bass line, funky guitars, swirly strings and a catchy vocal, ‘Overboard’ is taking you back in time.’’
