THING Returns Bigger And Better Than Ever!!

After having sold out its inaugural 2019 festival, THING music and arts festival return to Port Townsend Washington. Taking place from August 26-28 at the historic former military base of Fort Worden. This event includes a diverse lineup of performers with an emphasis on discoveries and creating an environment where all are welcomed. It will include a mix of music, comedy, visual arts, and speakers to this festival. Fort Worden, also called “the Paris of the Pacific Northwest” by Sunset magazine will include 4 stages, 2 of which are outdoor. The music lineup includes artists from the Jazz, indie, rock, and many more genre scenes including Modest Mouse, Jungle, Father John Misty, Goose, Freddie Gibbs, and so many more. You can get tickets for the event here. GA passes go for around $350 for the 3-day passes while the single-day passes go for around $130. The VIP passes go for $825 for a 3-day pass and $300 for a single-day pass but will include site parking, reserved seating at the outdoor venues and priority seating at the indoor stages, Lounge access with a private bar, restrooms, and cell phone charging station, and exclusive performances. There will also be 4-day camping from Thursday-Monday morning and RV camping as well. Come check out Washington’s newest festival!!

THING features two primary stages for you to enjoy: Littlefield Green and the Parade Grounds. These stages will have beautiful views overlooking Puget Sound, as well as McCurdy Pavilion (a decommissioned balloon hangar) and the charming and intimate art-deco Wheeler Theatre. Want to enjoy the festival in style? Pick your own adventure with a variety of camping and parking accommodations in addition to 3-day passes and one day passes. This is an all ages event and kids 12 & under are free.
 
The best part is that Seattle Theatre Group (STG) is dedicated to ensuring programs and events are accessible for everyone who wants to attend and participate. THING will offer the following services: ASL interpretation, special viewing areas, modified interactive sessions, sensory + break areas led by Sensory Access and more! Working around a historic setting comes with challenges and limitations, we will do our best to provide the best experience for all.
