Combining over-the-top production, innovative, groundbreaking themed décors and invitations, quirky hosts and the world’s top DJs, Avaland “A World at Night” returns to where it all started at House of Blues in Boston as it celebrates its 25th anniversary with a special event. Set for June 17, Avaland’s anniversary fete “Make America Gyrate Again” will feature sets from legendary DJ Danny Tenaglia and Mike Swells along with original Avaland residents Nailz and Manolo, décor from Avaland designer John Dellarocco, and over two dozen performers.
2022 will definitely be a new start for Family Piknik and it will begin on Sunday 31st July in the new avant-garde and unique decor of Lunel Arena, located only 20 minutes away from Grammont’s open park previously used as the festival’s playground. Central place in the city, close to the train station, Lunel’s Arena will start to dance with Family Piknik through a very attractive Opening event highlighting some of the best Deep-Progressive artists.
As the global mecca of dance music prepares for its biggest season in many years, HE.SHE.THEY’s curation and programming of global DJ talent both represent the darker side of electronic music and reflect the diversity and representation that were historically at the heart of the roots of house and techno.

Michael Brun’s Bayo Returns To New York and Boston
This Spring, Michael Brun’s Bayo will return, with two shows, Boston’s House of Blues on May 20th and NYC’s Pier 17 on May 21, before Brun curates an afternoon for Afropunk in Miami. At each event Brun’s sonic vision and hand picked-guests will transport audiences to the streets of his homeland and showcase like minded peers from across the globe.

Northern Nights Music Festival Announces Initial Cannabis & Wellness Details for 2022 Edition at Cook’s Valley Campground in Piercy, CA
With their next major accomplishment, Northern Nights has announced that they will become the first music festival to have dispensaries located at stages and the first music festival to have multiple on-site dispensaries for their 2022 edition. This will include dispensaries located at various stages throughout the event featuring takeovers from top cannabis brands and allowing guests to easily purchase cannabis products while still enjoying the music they love.
There will also be the original dispensary located at The Tree Lounge, which in the past served as the sole on-site dispensary location. This area will now take on more of a farmer’s market vibe and provide a chill lounge experience for attendees to meet the Legacy Farmers and learn more about the stories that paved the way for legal cannabis in the US.

The Queer’s Platinum Jubilee
Unorthodox and Mandidextrous team up to bring ‘The Queer’s Platinum Jubilee’ on the jubilee itself! The night brings together queer acts from across the drum and bass scene. IMANU, bi-sexual DJ from the Netherlands, will headline the Village Underground date; the legendary John B joins the bill as well as award winning Scottish DJ, Mrs Magoo. Chickaboo, the first ever woman to MC over Drum and Bass, hosts the show alongside Plymouth’s Maddy V and electrifying drag MC, Bennitrate. Other Unorthodox residents join the line up, acting as glue to pull this ground-breaking, queer-focused, diverse line up together. On top of this immense line up, the full family of Unorthodox queens and performers will bring the show to life alongside an immersive production experience.

Marking their sophomore original production of the year, U.K.-based trio Gentlemens Club is back on the release radar with their new track ‘Policia’. The latest to come from the triad follows this month’s ‘Dat Funk’ and their 2021 single ‘1999’ featuring Dread MC and B Live. Spencer Brown launched his own record label, diviine, earlier this year to release whatever music type he wanted, when he wanted, without restrictions. The label’s debut double single ‘Forbidden Flow / 18 Min Loop’ featured a song that clocked in at, you guessed it, 18 minutes. While the initial release was geared towards the club, Spencer further demonstrates the zeitgeist of diviine with the follow-up up release ‘Stuck/Reflex,’ two beautiful songs that feature vocals from Senegalese-American singer-songwriter, Marieme.
Riot Ten & Crankdat- Own The Night
Riot Ten and Crankdat come together again for a destructive new collaboration “Own The Night.” The latest festival weapon is stacked with dynamic vocal chops and vigorous bass elements. The single comes after the two producers collaborated on the infectious remix of Afrojack and Steve Aoki’s “No Beef” earlier this year.
Kah-Lo- Drag Me Out Video
Nigerian born, New York based singer and Grammy nominated artist Kah-Lo today releases the video for new single ‘Drag Me Out’, the ultimate going out anthem out now via Epic Records.
Filmed in Kah-Lo’s home of Lagos, the video brings to life Kah-Lo’s ‘life of the party’ persona. Kah-Lo prides herself on being the last one standing after a long night out, and the track is her own recklessness anthem, here just in time for summer. ‘Drag Me Out’ skillfully blends groovy house basslines, punchy drum kicks, and infectious lyrics to deliver the pre-party soundtrack of 2022

Continuing to take the electronic music scene by storm and push the boundaries with every release, juuku has released yet another dreamy yet electric soundscape. The rising producer, singer, songwriter and live performer is back with a brand new single, titled, “Alive Again.” For the first minute, the track is a piece of ambient and minimalist electronica that blends the continuous combination of chimes and strings. Then as the song begins to progress we’re struck with a rapid drum build up and drop that hits us with an intense delivery of static synths and chimes. Throughout the song, we’re taken back and forth between a state of nostalgic reminiscence and controlled chaos.

GG Magree- Already Dead feat. Alexandra Shipp
Australian producer and singer-songwriter GG Magree returned to Monstercat today with her angsty anthem, “Already Dead.” Each new single from her highly-anticipated EP, ‘Dichotomy,’ sees GG lean further into her foundational rock influences and Courtney Love aesthetic. Her gritty vocals carry the guitar-driven hooks and punchy drums that conjure notes of nostalgia in their punk-fueled stylings. A global celebration of club and sound system culture, “Spaces and Places” has been meticulously created by the New Jersey producer/DJ over several years on location at twenty-four of the world’s most distinguished nightclubs; each track built on the space’s individual relationship with Kerri, often through decades of live shows or appearances and in the process capturing unique rhythmic and emotional nuances.

Parader- Something the Dreamers Dream
Today NYC-based pop-rock band Parader celebrates the release of their new EP Something the Dreamers Dream out now via Taillights Music Group, a new imprint of Takeover Records run by Ben Harper of Yellowcard (order / stream). The EP includes pre-release singles “Save My Place” which Closed Captioned raved, “The song is beautiful and its own sound” and “Whiskey And Water” which was released in late 2021.
Courtney Jaye- Part Three: The Death
Tropicali Records and acclaimed Kaua’i/Los Angeles-based songwriter Courtney Jaye are pleased to present Part Three: The Death, the third installment of Jaye’s highly anticipated short film and full-length album, Hymns and Hallelucinations, a body of work that she calls “an introspective, meditative, psychedelic exploration into the soul of a woman: her rage, her confusion, her sadness, her sexuality, her defiance, her darkness, her strength and her light.” The full film will be released in four segments over several weeks, revealing songs from the 10-track album that will be released in its entirety on Friday, May 20.

Bandaid Brigade- Hit The Buck
Xtra Mile Recordings is excited to announce the signing of Bandaid Brigade, the brand new outfit featuring musicians Zach Quinn (PEARS) and Brian Wahlstrom (Scorpios, Gods of Mount Olympus). Formed on one of Joey Cape’s (Lagwagon) One Week Records tours, the band has since evolved into a unique unit producing music with powerful choruses and soaring melodies, all injected with Eighties synths, plaintive punk guitars and self-deprecating but poignantly poetic lyrics. Serving as an outlet for all the music that both Quinn and Wahlstrom personally enjoy, Bandaid Brigade is a refreshing project for both musicians to experiment without the constraints of their affiliations.
