Avaland

Combining over-the-top production, innovative, groundbreaking themed décors and invitations, quirky hosts and the world’s top DJs, Avaland “A World at Night” returns to where it all started at House of Blues in Boston as it celebrates its 25th anniversary with a special event.  Set for June 17, Avaland’s anniversary fete “Make America Gyrate Again” will feature sets from legendary DJ Danny Tenaglia and  Mike Swells along with original Avaland residents Nailz and Manolo, décor from Avaland designer John Dellarocco, and over two dozen performers.

Family Piknik

2022 will definitely be a new start for Family Piknik and it will begin on Sunday 31st July in the new avant-garde and unique decor of Lunel Arena, located only 20 minutes away from Grammont’s open park previously used as the festival’s playground. Central place in the city, close to the train station, Lunel’s Arena will start to dance with Family Piknik through a very attractive Opening event highlighting some of the best Deep-Progressive artists.

Michael Brun’s Bayo Returns To New York and Boston

This Spring, Michael Brun’s Bayo will return, with two shows, Boston’s House of Blues on May 20th and NYC’s Pier 17 on May 21, before Brun curates an afternoon for Afropunk in Miami. At each event Brun’s sonic vision and hand picked-guests will transport audiences to the streets of his homeland and showcase like minded peers from across the globe.

Northern Nights Music Festival Announces Initial Cannabis & Wellness Details for 2022 Edition at Cook’s Valley Campground in Piercy, CA

With their next major accomplishment, Northern Nights has announced that they will become the first music festival to have dispensaries located at stages and the first music festival to have multiple on-site dispensaries for their 2022 edition. This will include dispensaries located at various stages throughout the event featuring takeovers from top cannabis brands and allowing guests to easily purchase cannabis products while still enjoying the music they love.

There will also be the original dispensary located at The Tree Lounge, which in the past served as the sole on-site dispensary location. This area will now take on more of a farmer’s market vibe and provide a chill lounge experience for attendees to meet the Legacy Farmers and learn more about the stories that paved the way for legal cannabis in the US.

The Queer’s Platinum Jubilee

Unorthodox and Mandidextrous team up to bring ‘The Queer’s Platinum Jubilee’ on the jubilee itself! The night brings together queer acts from across the drum and bass scene. IMANU, bi-sexual DJ from the Netherlands, will headline the Village Underground date; the legendary John B joins the bill as well as award winning Scottish DJ, Mrs Magoo. Chickaboo, the first ever woman to MC over Drum and Bass, hosts the show alongside Plymouth’s Maddy V and electrifying drag MC, Bennitrate. Other Unorthodox residents join the line up, acting as glue to pull this ground-breaking, queer-focused, diverse line up together. Spencer Brown launched his own record label, diviine, earlier this year to release whatever music type he wanted, when he wanted, without restrictions. The label’s debut double single ‘Forbidden Flow / 18 Min Loop’ featured a song that clocked in at, you guessed it, 18 minutes. The rising producer, singer, songwriter and live performer is back with a brand new single, titled, “Alive Again.” For the first minute, the track is a piece of ambient and minimalist electronica that blends the continuous combination of chimes and strings. Then as the song begins to progress we’re struck with a rapid drum build up and drop that hits us with an intense delivery of static synths and chimes.
