Low Praise- Forget That It’s Summer
“‘Forget That It’s Summer’ was the first song we wrote together during the Covid depths, during our shared peak fear, anxiety and loneliness. As a band that had always jammed stuff out in person and worked off that energy this song was originally composed through chopping up loops, file sharing and experimentation. We actually built a complete version of this song as a weird loop construct with a ton of layers, mostly as a way to still make something, anything together during that self-imposed separation. We then reconstructed it as a stripped down live band version once we could finally get together again. So I think you kind of still hear that in the song that it was born from a pretty different process.
Thematically, this was a period where I think we were all mega-bumming and at the same time getting the immense appreciation and perspective for all of the little things you take for granted in normal life that we all lost access to during that period. Just being able to see your friends, make music together, have physical contact with the people you love. It was a period of forced reflection and forced appreciation. All put to a dance groove for some reason.” – Warren / Low Praise

Mikey Barreneche – Smoke
Mikey Barreneche, the rising star in the electronic music scene, has released his latest track “Smoke,” a driving tech house banger with a rap vocal over the top. The track was inspired by Mau P’s Countdown set, and Mikey was so inspired that he finished the track in just a couple of hours. “Smoke” is a testament to Mikey’s creativity and ability to produce high-energy, club-ready tracks that will have dance floors moving.
“I was really inspired by Mau P’s set, and I wanted to create something that had that same energy and drive,” Mikey said about the track. “I wanted to make a driving, energetic tech house track with some big sounds and a rap vocal over it.”
“Smoke” is more than just a club banger, however. The song’s lyrics address a serious issue in today’s society: people who flaunt guns on social media to appear cool. Mikey’s message is clear: this behavior is corny and not something to be celebrated. It’s a powerful message that adds another layer to an already impressive track.

Photo Ops- When You See Something Beautiful In The World
“After a few cocktails on a flight, I noticed how iridescent the clouds looked with the sun shining off bodies of water underneath. And as the sun went down, how beautiful the different veins and arteries of light and electricity looked from that height. You combine that with the feeling of the plane in its final descent, the feeling of how much faster you are going than the cars on the highway moving in the same direction, and the pure oxygen you are breathing. A moment where everything is literally going your way – that’s as good a reason as any to write a song – in my book.” -Terry Price / Photo Ops

NYC singer-songwriter Sid Seth shares a brand new single entitled “Hopeless War.”
Of his newest track, Sid wrote:
“‘Hopeless War’ comes from a classic situation: a battle of ‘you did this, I did that.’ Both parties go crazy, and after a certain point in the argument, it doesn’t even make sense anymore. Someone takes the lead and is like, ‘Okay, let’s just end this, it’s pointless.’ It’s that scene. And after all that, it leaves you with silence and the question lingering ‘where do we go now?’
Space Ducks – Basic
Space Duck, the intergalactic electronic music duo, has released their latest single “Basic,” a hard hitting combination between Tech House and Electro House. The drop sound was a miscommunication signal they picked up during one of their space trips.
What’s even more exciting is that the duo took inspiration from a unique source – they recorded sounds from an asteroid and experimented by throwing it against different surfaces to create unique sounds. This innovative approach to music-making reflects their passion for discovering new sounds.
When asked about the inspiration behind “Basic,” Space Duck said, “We were having drinks at a space bar, trying to come up with ideas for our next tracks, but we kept being interrupted by chit-chatting girls. Instead of getting annoyed, we embraced it and used the recording as part of the buildup. We love incorporating unexpected sounds into our music, and this track is no exception.”
