Gearin’ Up For Summer Camp!
Summer Camp Festival is back for its 20th anniversary August 20-22 and it won’t disappoint! This is my first year joining the party and I couldn’t be more stoked. Not only is the lineup stacked with some big name artists, the Chillicothe, Illinois forest vibes are calling my name! I haven’t been to a festival since the start of 2020 and I couldn’t have chosen a better one. I have some lineups to share and some tips and tricks to help you make the most of your weekend!
Red Barn Information
While Summer Camp typically has Red Barn shows, they recently released this statement.
“Summer Camp Family, due to the ongoing Covid 19 concerns, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all Red Barn performances at our 20th anniversary next weekend. All VIP ticket holders will be sent an email shortly with options to secure a $50 credit to be used on a VIP Upgrade for Summer Camp 2022 OR request a partial refund equivalent to the amount of Red Barn Late Nights in your order.
As we gear up for next weekend we encourage you to be vaccinated, practice proper sanitation, wear masks when unable to socially distance yourself among the crowd, and be kind to one another. It’s been a long time since we’ve all been together and we’re ready for a special weekend.”
Each evening there will be late night shows that keep the party going! These are like the cherry-on-top of an already perfect sundae, which still works out because most of these will be in the VIP Lounge. Since capacity is limited, these shows do require a separate ticket or a VIP upgrade option. On Thursday night there’s Umphrey’s McGee & Doom Flamingo and on Friday night you can catch Moe. & SunSquabi. My favorite show comes to the Red Barn on Saturday night with Clozee b2b with Lsdream with special guest Maddy O’Neal. In addition, Sunday night brings The Wood Brothers & Yonder Mountain String Band. If adding extra parties is what you’re after, be sure to grab these tickets before they sell out! Check the picture for more information about the Everyone Orchestra, Clozee b2b Lsdream, and Subtronics.
Some Last Minute Tips!
While all the joy of a festival can be unpredictable, there are some things to keep in mind. If you haven’t purchased car camping tickets, it will be a trek to get your camping supplies to your campsite. I have found in past years that the best way to go is to bring a wagon to help cart all your goodies to your spot. Having extra room and wheels to make the journey will make it a breeze! Also, while packing, be sure to include some rain boots and rain gear. While there isn’t much rain in the forecast, the grounds might be muddy and rain boots make it so much easier to walk. Lastly, don’t forget your good vibes and best friends as SCamp will surely be one for the books!
Can’t wait to see you all there! I’m gearin’ up for an amazing weekend! Snag those tickets while you can!
