GRiZ Announces 8th Annual ‘12 Days of GRiZMAS’
GRiZ is back with the 12 Days of GRiZMAS! And we’re in luck, it’s the 8th annual event! Detroit native and electronic music icon, GRiZ, announces the return of his 8th Annual ‘12 Days of GRiZMAZ’ charity program, benefitting his beloved Detroit community. These events will take place over the days in partnership with local creative outlets and community workshops in order to raise awareness and funds for art and music education for Detroit’s Youth. GRiZMAS will culminate in three days of concerts at The Masonic Temple, Friday December 10 – Sunday December 12 featuring performances from GRiZ with special guests The Sponges, Kilamanzego, Level Up, Mize, Jantsen, and Veil.
In the past, this massive event has raised a combined total of over $300,000 dollars. Due to this, GRiZ received the ‘Spirit of Detroit’ award in 2015 for his work around GRiZMAS, which has been called an ‘utterly sincere community effort’ by The Guardian. This has been a great partnership with Seven Mile, an organization who seeks to bridge access and opportunity for local youth in the arts through afterschool and summer camp programming. The program will kick off at the GRiZMAS headquarters pop-up store on Wednesday, December 1st at 5:00PM in the heart of downtown Detroit at 1301 Broadway.

You can support it by sharing in your coffee love! There is an exciting collaboration with Detroit’s Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Company. GRiZ coffee will be releasing a new special GRiZMAS 2021 Blend, a mix of Yellow Bourbon beans from Brazil Peru —- and packaged in a specially designed limited edition 12 oz bag. The 2021 Blend is exclusive to this year’s merchandise line and In the spirit of GRiZMAS, 100% of proceeds from every purchase go towards the Seven Mile organization. Talk about holiday cheer!
If you’re in the Detroit area, patrons can pop into the store and donate to the ongoing Grizmas coat & toy drive, drop off items daily, shop holiday gifts, bid on the charity auction, purchase and customize exclusive GRiZMAS merch, enjoy donation-based gift wrapping station and tons of other activities all while hanging out in the lounge and sipping on some custom GRiZMAS Blend coffee! On the first day of GRiZMAS, GRiZ gave to me: Killer Crafts & Cocktails will feature a step-by-step holiday drink creation from Detroit mixologists at Spotlite Detroit. On the second day, expect a Charity Dodgeball Tournament, fans will be treated to an all-day, all-night virtual festival stream with GRiZ & Friends. This full day stream will wear you out so relax with some yoga and trivia on Sunday, December 5th. Following a virtual and in-person volunteer day on December 6, a star-studded evening showcase of incredible local Detroit talent will culminate in Local Mic Night on December 7th. Fans will have the opportunity to tune in via Twitch or purchase tickets to an extremely intimate, seated event with table service at Jazz Jam on the 8th. The week continues with Rainbow Roller Disco on Thursday and rounds out with three whole days of GRiZMAS Concerts Friday December 10 – Sunday December 12.

GRiZ continues his journey as a beacon of positivity both globally and in his own backyard. The GRiZMAS Workshop at 1301 Broadway will be open across all ‘12 Days’ from 10 AM – 6 PM and virtual, as well as in-person, opportunities will be available for all to join GRiZ in spreading the holiday cheer and giving spirit.
