Jon Gurd releases ‘District’ the final single off his ten-track LP ‘Lion’,

Who can’t wait for Jon Gurd’s Lion album? Experienced UK producer releases the last single off his Anjunadeep album debut. The album is dedicated to his older brother, inspired by “loss and rebirth”. His new single “District” exemplifies just that!

Who loves an artist who supports others? Throughout the album campaign, Jon will be fundraising for UK organization KIDS in support of his son who was diagnosed with severe epilepsy. KIDS provides emotional and practical support to over 13,500 disabled children, young people, and their families in the UK. This is a great cause we can all stand behind!

Jon Gurd releases ‘District’ on July 31st, the fourth and final single off his upcoming album ‘Lion’, arriving on August 14.

Jon is a respected selector and producer. He came through the UK underground in the early 2000s as a resident DJ at the legendary slinky in Bournemouth. He has been around for quite some time and built up support! During his decorated career, Jon has collaborated with artists including Alan Fitzpatrick and Reset Robot and gained support from the likes of Adam Beyer, Sasha, Loco Dice, and many more.

“District” is a high-energy breakbeat-driven track reminiscent of 90s warehouse rave anthems. I wish I had been alive during those days! Jon explains that “‘District’ feels like that raw human energy that we’ve all got, that willingness to survive, to thrive, and to look after each other, to love and to keep growing.” How beautiful is that?

Dedicated to his older brother, the ‘Lion’ album is the culmination of Jon’s experiences as a brother and father; his encounters with loss, and his subsequent progression as an artist and human being. We can all learn from this
